Meet Our Founder & CEO: Natalie Walstein

Divine Flow is based on the idea of the “divine flow of inspiration” that runs through us when we are harnessing our creative superpowers for the greater good of ourselves and the good of all. Inspiration taps us on the shoulder when we are in tune with ourselves, our dreams, our message, and the contribution we want to bring to the world… when we are living in flow! Get to know the founder of Divine Flow and how the idea for this one-of-a-kind new age publishing company was born.

What inspired the creation of your publishing company?

I’ve always been on this crazy mission to find the best and most efficient ways to help the world spiritually evolve, and I have tried a variety of different healing modalities over the years to try to do that. This includes astrology, hypnotherapy, Reiki, sound healing, and even business coaching so that entrepreneurs can create more ease, flow, and freedom.

I finally had an aha moment that my biggest spiritual breakthroughs have come from reading books, so writing books seemed like the best way to help the most amount of people at once. However, as someone who had a book traditionally published, I was familiar with how outdated and manipulative the publishing industry has become.

“I wanted to create a new age publishing company that would be nurturing and supportive to the authors as they change the world for masses of people through their soul’s work.”

Can you share your process for selecting the projects and authors you work with? What qualities or themes resonate most with your team?

For the most part, they select us! We seek to attract spiritual entrepreneurs who are raising the vibration of the planet and want to leave behind a legacy of their life’s work so far – something that can live on even after their time on earth in this lifetime has come to an end.

The books we publish feature rich storytelling combined with practical, no-fluff wisdom where you can really get to know and trust the author as if they are a friend.

We want to normalize the new age and the more so-called “woo woo” themes people are still talking about in secret, but that need to be shared, because they would create a massive wave of change and transformation for the collective, whether it’s related to energy healing, nature medicine, spiritual awakenings, starseeds, work with the divine feminine, channeling your own intuitive guidance, and so much more.

How do you support authors through the writing, editing, and publishing process, both practically and emotionally?

We have an amazing dream team to make the publishing process as streamlined and supportive as possible. Unlike most publishers, we work with our authors right at the point where they have an idea for a book and provide coaching through the process of outlining the book and breaking it down into smaller sections to write it. This happens alongside the editor that will be providing feedback for the book when the first draft is complete.

In addition to handling all of the publishing, printing, and audiobook engineering details, we also help our authors build their online platform and promote the book as it’s moving into the pre-launch phase and in the years after it is launched so that it can reach all of the people who need to read it most.

How does your company integrate a conscious or spiritual ethos into your publishing practices?

We believe in divine timing and not rushing the process. If you feel called to write a book, it’s because you were meant to be the one to write it. However, that doesn’t mean you need to hustle or sacrifice your wellbeing in the process.

“We believe in going with the flow and trusting that the universe’s wisdom will flow right through you in exactly the way it’s meant to… that your words will transform exactly the right lives they were meant to.”

Authenticity, vulnerability, and rawness is also important because your readers want to hear your true story – not as an elevated expert to be put on a pedestal but as someone who has also made mistakes along their journey. We want our authors to tell their story their own way and this means they are always the one calling the shots on which of our suggestions they wish to adopt and which they want to toss.

What advice do you offer first-time authors to help them navigate the challenges of getting published?

There are many roads to creating a published book. I suggest having a lot of patience and prioritizing your writing practice because nothing can be published if nothing is written. That is the hardest part! From there, you can make decisions on the best way to get it out into the world as it aligns with your values.

I think it’s also important to know that your book may not make a lot of money on its own – it’s more about the opportunities the book can lead towards. Don’t write a book to get rich. Write a book to leave behind the impact that will create the change you want to see in the world. Write a book to elevate the world’s awareness of your soul work. Write a book to truly connect with the people who need your wisdom.

What are some of your favorite spiritual books and why?

I have so many! I love The Sophia Code by Kaia Ra because it is like the divine feminine version of the bible. I have reread it many times including out loud to myself all the way through so I could really soak up the magic. Every paragraph elevates your consciousness in a way you may not be fully able to understand as you’re reading it, but you can feel the energetic codes radiating through you.

I also love Initiation by Elisabeth Haich. It’s the story of a woman who remembers her past life as an Egyptian pharaoh’s daughter being initiated into the priesthood. It makes you feel like you are right there going on the journey of initiation with her. It starts out very slow until you get to about Chapter 20, and then begins ramping up with each chapter bringing more and more profound spiritual concepts. I always get excited to recommend this one because it had me howling by the end – it’s so intense and powerful!

A few others I love include It’s Not Your Money by Tosha Silver, The Lemurian Way by Lauren O’Thyme, The Search for Hidden Sacred Knowledge by Dolores Cannon, and Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives by Michael Newton.

So many people have told me that books I’ve recommended to them have changed their lives, so it only seems natural that I would eventually start a publishing company to give voice to more authors who have fascinating stories and wisdom to share.
