Today, we are celebrating one of our incredible Book Magic authors and her brand-new planner, The Radiance Planner: A Daily Astro Planner to Find Cosmic Flow and Ignite Your Inner Light.
Rebecca Zaccard is an astrologer at Radiance Astrology who knew she wanted to write a book to complement her business offerings… she just didn’t know what. As she showed up for her daily writing practice and kept running her astrology practice, her ideas gradually formed into what became an obvious choice: a planner she could use for herself and to help others live in alignment with astrology in a practical way in their everyday lives.
In this Author Spotlight, we talk about what it was really like for her to bring this inspired idea into the physical world, from trusting the intuitive process to launching something that’s now in people’s hands and being sold in local bookstores in her area.

Tell us a little bit about you, your new planner, and who you have created it for!
Well, my name’s Rebecca, but you already know that. And among many other things. I’m the founder of Radiance Astrology, which is a heart-led astrology business that has all sorts of intentional offerings that are all designed and crafted to help lead you back home to yourself, to your radiance, to shine your bright, radiant light, with the cosmos as your guide.
And I’m more than just the work that I do, I’m also a live event sports host, cat and dog mom—all sorts of things—but Radiance Astrology is totally my passion, and the newest offering is the Radiance Planner, a daily astro planner that is a daily companion to help blend the astrological into the practical.
I think a lot of people think astrology can be really esoteric and really out there, and I think it's much more practical and much more accessible than people think with the right tools. And so that's why I created this planner that blends both.
I have a lot going on in my life, and I know a lot of people do, and I don’t want my daily practices, my spiritual practices, my rituals to be separate from my “real life”. I want them to be all infused and guided by the cosmic cycles, guided by my own rhythms and by my intuition.
So that’s why I created the Radiance Planner, and it’s for people who want more of that… who want more ease, alignment, and flow in their life, that want to be present and to tune into the rhythms and the cycles of the universe.
So, you basically created what you wish existed in the world?
Yes, I am a Leo Sun, so that is what I am here to do. I feel like I have tried all the day planners out there and all the astro planners out there, and I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted that blended both.
And so I was like, okay, we’re doing it ourselves!
What made you want to become a published author in the first place?
Writing a chapter for Soul Rising really unlocked something in me and helped me realize that I have something to say that’s worth sharing—that I’m a writer because I write every day.
I started to feel the inspiration that I wanted to write something, and I had the opportunity to join Book Magic, so I had support and a step-by-step guide along the way.
Even when I joined Book Magic, I still didn't know what I was writing. I just knew I was writing something, and I just trusted the process.
And then, in August 2025, I co-hosted an outdoor day retreat with my dear friend, Amber of Amber Waves. It was called Rooted, Radiant, and Rising. It was such a beautiful gathering. It was right around the New Moon in Virgo so, of course, I created a planner during Virgo season… or came up with the idea. Gotta get organized!
During the retreat, we dove deep into the New Moon in Virgo energy with intention setting, sowing seeds, fine-tuning, organizing, and planning. But as I was prepping for the retreat, I was like, I can’t just dive deep into Virgo energy and then leave these people hanging after the fact!
So I created this printout, which in a way is the first iteration of the Radiance Planner with the major moon phases and sun seasons for the remainder of the year, with journal prompts for them to take home and utilize.
By the end of the retreat I got such great feedback from everybody of how impactful the astrological element of the retreat was and, and everything else we did too, but I just knew… boom! Light bulb, this is what I’m creating. This is the offering that’s going to be the most supportive. This is what I need to do now. And I just went home and [got to work]. But that was really the inspiration behind it.
What has been the most challenging part of the process?
An important thing for aspiring authors to think about is the feedback piece. That part is scary, but it’s so important, and I have had to really take my ego out of it and let the work be what the work wants to be—what is going to be the most supportive tool for people.
It's been such a spiritual experience because as you're writing, sharing, creating, putting something out there, you're kind of going through your own spiritual activation, your own initiation.
There have been challenges and setbacks, but some of those challenges are internal. It’s self-doubt. It’s fear of criticism.
For me, I love to edit. Oh yeah, I’ll go back, and I’ll fine-tune day and night. This is in print—no more editing—except I am going to make future planners so I can fine-tune in the future.
There was a meditation that we just did the other day in one of our intention-setting circles in Book Magic about tapping into and visualizing the energy of your book, or in my case, planner, and letting it tell you what your next step is. And every time I come back to a circle or a class or a call, it helps me reconnect to my why and get out of my own way.
What is the main message you want your planner users to walk away with?
I want them to reconnect to themselves, to their intuition, to their higher self, and to the cosmic cycles and the universal rhythms, and to presence.
We get so distracted in our society, distracted and almost divorced from the flow with the pings and the dings and the reminders and the plans and the meetings and all this 3D reality, but if we invite in the cycles and the rhythms, and we're guided by those, we're taking something universal and making it really personal.
And that’s why there are journal prompts throughout; they’re inspired by the energy, but it’s about how this universal energy really relates personally to you and what resonates for you. And the more we can do that, the more flow we can feel, the more ease we can feel, the more alignment we can feel in our “real” lives.
Our real lives are our spiritual lives. We’re just spiritual beings having a human experience, and I think we can bring more presence into it.
So, that’s what I want for people. I want them to tune back in in an easy, accessible way.
Right now, it’s the beginning of January—resolutions. We think, “I’m gonna make these big changes, these major overhauls.” First of all, it’s still winter where a lot of us are, and so, you know, we’re not necessarily ready to get up and go right now. We might be planning, tuning in, or reflecting, but it can be small… it can be simple. It’s just a simple daily check-in in the morning. A simple moment of writing down what you’re grateful for.
And then, with the lunar phases and the sun seasons, it can be as active as you want. Do you want to harness the lunar energy and set your intentions with it? Great. Do you just wanna be aware of it and flow with it? Great.
It's a practice, an easy, effortless, go-as-deep-as-you-want, or stay at surface level as you want practice. Everything's an invitation. Nothing is an instruction. As I write in the beginning, in the welcome section, "You're the author of this planner and this beautiful life. So write what feels true for you at any given moment."
What do you feel you learned about yourself along the process of creating this beautiful product, tool, and heart offering?
Well, first of all, I learned that I can take an idea and make it manifest, like bring it into the physical.
And there were moments in the process where it felt impossible and there were moments in the process that it felt inevitable. But you know, I was the engine. I’m the doer, right?
I have tools, I have support in Book Magic, and in my loved ones in the spirit realm. I’m not alone in it, but I actually have to take the steps, and I did that. So, it did build confidence in myself.
And we started to touch on this, but some of the shadows of self-doubt…historically I haven’t been great at receiving criticism. And so… learning how to not just accept feedback, but ask for feedback, knowing that is gonna make the offering better because at the end of the day, as you said, it’s a heart offering.
I want it to be impactful for people. I want it to be a supportive daily companion, a tool. So it’s not about me, it’s about that, and also like with the meditations inside Book Magic… I’m letting the planner tell me what it wants to be, what its essence is, and now it’s like I birthed this beautiful baby out into the world. It grew up so fast, and now it’s going off to college to have a whole life of its own with whoever picks it up.
People are using it. Probably this morning there were people drinking their morning coffee or tea using it already. Your planner's already stocked in stores and you're shipping it out from your website, so it's out there.
And we had a launch party at a local wellness studio, the Collective Wellness Studio, here locally in Butler, Western Pennsylvania, where I am. And it was cool. People bought the planner there, but they also brought the planners that they had already purchased and wanted me to sign, which is sweet. I was like, “This is your planner, but sure!”
And I saw them write in it, put their sun, moon, and rising, and their word of the year—and I wasn’t reading what they wrote— but just glancing through it felt really beautiful. It’s just an honor to have it out there, and that people want it, and are creating within it—co-creating with me, in a way.
I really learned a lot about myself and my confidence, and also that I’m on the right path, that this is… I’m gonna get emotional, but this is what I want to do. You know, I want to inspire and support and continue to create offerings that will be impactful for people.
How has being part of the Book Magic community impacted your journey as an author?
It’s been invaluable to watch and witness everybody at the different points in their journey and to be able to support each other through it. It just makes a process that could feel really solo—like a lonely journey—and brings it into community. I think community is so important.
I just felt really supported throughout the process, and I don’t think I would—well, maybe I would’ve eventually done it—but not at the speed I did and not in a way that was as grounded or as supported or, you know, really fun.
There were moments in the process when I was in flow. I was like, I could do this forever. It was meaningful to be able to celebrate that with other people who get that.
And then when the inevitable challenges, setbacks, you know, other things came up, I also had people to process that with who got it. My husband is so supportive, but he’s probably sick of talking about my planner, and my friends love me and support me, but aren’t in it. So to have people who are in it with you is 10 out of 10 recommend it.
What would you say to someone who's feeling called to write a book or maybe even create their own planner or workbook or journal, but they haven't started yet?
Just start. Just start with a word, a sentence, a page. As I said, for me, I didn’t know what I was writing yet. Let the writing tell you what the writing is.
So, just begin and follow that call and trust yourself. You’ve got something to say and people who want to hear it. So just begin and, you know, find a community, maybe like Book Magic if you’re looking for the spiritual support and the step-by-step guide.
You know, find a community that can help you along the way so that you don’t have to feel alone.
Finally, how does it feel to be holding your finished planner in your hands, and what's next for you?
Hmm. It feels… I feel really proud. I’m so proud of it, even though I know that there are things that I’ll fine-tune in the future, and it’s the first of many, but I feel really proud and hopeful that it’ll be supportive for people and help bring them presence and flow, and what’s next is more planners!
The first one is for the first six months of the year, partly because I wanted it to be small enough that you could put it in your bag and take it with you wherever you go.
I travel a lot, and so I used to have my astro planner and my daily planner, and they never fit in my carry-on. I was like, this is too much stuff! So, I wanted it to be small enough that I could take it with me.
I will do the next six months of 2026. I’ll start working on that. I’ve already started… let’s be real. And then also, I’m winding down my busy season for the other part of my career. I work in football, and so once football season’s over, it’s off to the races for Radiance Astrology with in-person events, astro flows, some retreats, and workshops. I’m going to do an Intro to Astro because I found a lot of people who want the planner, and they’re really interested in it, and they’re like, I want more. I want to learn. Okay, cool. Let’s learn!
So we’ll do some locally in person in Western Pennsylvania, but I’ll also have some of those online on my website as well. And yeah, continuing to offer Radiance Readings, astro bath and body oils, and all the things.
I’m going to try not to create too many more offerings because I have a lot, but I have this vision of the “Radiance Ecosystem” and how all the different offerings allow you to choose your own adventure.
You can just take the one that you need. You want to know your own soul through your birth chart, okay, a Radiance Reading! But oh, you want to find more alignment in your daily life? That’s the planner! Oh, you want to learn astrology? That’s the workshops. So you don’t need to do any or all of them, just what you feel called to, but I want to create them.
So I have a lot of ideas, and we’ll just see what inspires me to work on next.
